Build a local newsroom with us.
We're a small team building something rare: a local newspaper that subscribers actually love. If that sounds interesting, we'd love to hear from you.
Three roles. All hybrid, Fort Pierce office.
Local reporter — Things to do beat
Own the Thursday “weekend” issue. Cover Friday Fest, manatee center events, high-school playoffs, and the food-truck scene. Bring a camera.
Associate editor — Government & growth
Read every agenda packet. Translate government into English. Help our reporter cover permits, zoning, and the county's growth patterns.
Operations & audience — Part-time
Manage our sponsor pipeline, referral program, and reader emails. Great for a student, career-switcher, or semi-retired pro who loves local news.
Four things that are true here.
Reader first.
Every editorial decision passes through: does this help our subscribers? If not, we don't do it.
Small team.
Six people, no layers. You'll have real ownership and see your work in inboxes within a week.
Local beat.
Every story happens in St. Lucie County. You'll know the people you cover.
Quiet focus.
Deep work over meetings. We publish five days a week — shipping matters more than slides.
Not a tech-company perk list. Just the basics, done right.
