The boring stuff, written plainly.
How we handle your data, what you agree to when you subscribe, what we do if you need accessibility accommodations, and every correction we've published.
Privacy policy
When you subscribe to the Scoop, we collect one thing: your email address. That's it. We don't ask for your name, address, phone number, or anything else.
What we use your email for
To send you the newsletter Monday through Friday. That's it. We don't sell, rent, trade, or share it with anyone.
Third parties
Beehiiv handles our newsletter delivery. They store your email to send you the issue. They have their own privacy policy. We use Vercel to host this website, which sees the IP address you're browsing from. We don't fingerprint, track, or retarget you anywhere.
Cookies
We don't use tracking cookies. We don't use analytics cookies. The only storage we touch is whatever your browser does on its own.
Your rights
Reply “delete me” to any issue and we will erase your email from our records within 24 hours.
Terms of use
By subscribing to the Scoop, you agree to receive emails from us. You can stop receiving them at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in the footer of any issue.
Our content
Everything in each issue is © The St. Lucie Scoop Co. unless otherwise noted. You can forward the newsletter freely. You can quote from it with attribution. Please don't republish it wholesale without asking.
Corrections
If we publish something factually wrong and you can show us evidence, we will correct it in the next issue and note the correction on this page.
Sponsored content
Sponsored content is clearly labeled “— Sponsored —”. We write sponsored copy in our voice but the sponsor has final approval. Sponsors do not get a say in our editorial coverage.
Accessibility
We design the Scoop to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. That means high-contrast text, screen-reader friendly markup, keyboard navigation, and reduced-motion support.
Found an issue?
Email accessibility@stluciescoop.com. We read every message and will fix problems within 5 business days where we can.
Corrections log
Every correction we've published, in full. We note corrections in the next issue after we discover the error, and we update the original online.
